PTBA Demanded Tax Authorities to Extend the Last Date for Filing Income Tax Return

Pakistan Tax Bar Association (PTBA) in its letter to the Chairman, FBR regarding the filing of income tax returns, stated that delay in issuance of  income tax return form for tax year 2020 for around two and a half months and other matters concerned with updating taxpayers’ profile would make it tough for taxpayers as well as tax practitioners to meet the deadline of September 30, 2020.

Furthermore, the FBR chairman has been told that PTBA had received various complaints from member tax bars about the discrepancies in the calculation regarding filing tax return. The PTBA president said that the bar would take up the matter separately with the FBR.
