FBR Extends the Income Tax Return Filing Date to 8th December 2020

FBR extends the date for income tax return filing from 30^th September, 2020 to 8^th December, 2020. FBR issued Circular No. 04 of 2020 in which it extends the date of filing of income tax returns/statements for the tax year 2020. In the notification it is stated that the individuals and AOPs who have failed to file their income tax returns by 30^th September, 2020 can now file them until 8^th December, 2020. Similarly, the companies who were required to file their income tax returns by 30^th September, 2020 but have failed to do so may now file them till 8^th December, 2020. Furthermore, the notification states that no further extension for filing of income tax returns/statements will be granted.
